Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Eggson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eggson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Torres on his heels. He'll look to pass Torres's guard now, I'm sure.
Eggson throwing strikes but missing.

Eggson gets to his feet - Torres follows without any prompting.

Eggson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Torres is refusing to be controlled, as Eggson sits in half guard.
Eggson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Carl Eggson.

Eggson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Eggson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Eggson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Torres swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Eggson works over Torres with some ground and pound from guard.
Eggson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Torres scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Eggson manages to mount him!
Eggson prevents Torres from getting the reversal.

Eggson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Torres can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Eggson wants to control the pace but Torres is squirming around nicely.

Torres is bucking up trying to escape but Eggson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Eggson wants to control the action but instead Torres gets a body lock and reverses into Eggson's guard! Nice work!
Torres keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Eggson's head.

Eggson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Torres gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Eggson has his feet on Torres's thighs here. He's pushed Torres off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Torres screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
