With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Arona!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arona shoots for a takedown but McPuggins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Arona gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and McPuggins cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

McPuggins moves into range and clinches up with Arona.
McPuggins lands a good knee to the midsection. Arona won't want to take too many of those.
McPuggins comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Ricardo Arona has been cut.
McPuggins utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
McPuggins prevents the takedown attempt.
Flash McPuggins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricardo Arona.
Arona is working for takedown but McPuggins is calmly controlling the position for now.

Arona has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McPuggins avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
