Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rosco Mankins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daryl Gilgore! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gilgore throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mankins's waist but Mankins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gilgore off to one side. Mankins swings away with a leg kick that misses. Mankins lands with a kick to the temple. Gilgore shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Daryl Gilgore has been cut. Mankins feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gilgore's calf. Sloppy strikes from Gilgore. Those never looked like landing. A solid leg kick lands there for Mankins.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gilgore shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mankins but Mankins pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mankins throws a head kick but Gilgore moves out of range.
Mankins is looking to score with low kicks. Gilgore gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mankins counters with a head kick. Rosco Mankins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daryl Gilgore.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gilgore. Gilgore fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mankins lands a front kick. Gilgore shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Gilgore blocks the body kick.

Gilgore throws a lazy right hand but Mankins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Gilgore shoots in for a takedown but Mankins shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A good leg kick by Mankins.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gilgore tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mankins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gilgore somewhat. Rosco Mankins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daryl Gilgore. Gilgore takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Daryl Gilgore has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mankins fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gilgore has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mankins moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Rosco Mankins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Daryl Gilgore is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gilgore fails with the takedown and Mankins counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Gilgore tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
And that's the end of the fight! Rosco Mankins showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mankins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
