Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, El Senor Sox!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Sox counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Cox keeps the fight on the outside.

and Sox counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Cox wants to clinch up but Sox keeps it at a distance.
Sox tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cox was well out of range. Poor timing from Sox.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sox got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cox has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sox has managed to get both his arms back between Cox's legs - danger averted.

and Sox counters with a three punch combo that has Cox backing up. Cox nods at Sox to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dixon Cox. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cox wants to control but Sox is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sox lands a big shot there that rocks Cox but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Cox is rocked!
Sox looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Cox covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
