Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stephen White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabriel Walker! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Walker manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Walker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. White thows a huge punch but Walker dodges it nicely.
Walker tries to roll over but White keeps him under control. Walker is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. White is nestled in close to Walker, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. White scoring with strikes to the body and head. White lands with a punch from half guard. Walker on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Walker has hold of White's hands but White slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. White lands a nice short elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Walker is looking to improve his position.
Walker works his way to full guard. Good work. White might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker looking to sweep here. No luck so far. White has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. White distracts Walker with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Walker is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and White defends well. White is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. White working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. White lands a couple of digs. Walker working a defensive guard here.
Walker has momentary wrist control but White slips an elbow through the middle. White postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Walker keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. White postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Walker is rocked! White gets to his feet and stands over Walker, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Walker felt that one! White unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Walker from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephen White!
