Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Stefaniak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander comes to the cage accompanied by whigfield-saturday night. Mark Alexander has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Alexander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Stefaniak! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stefaniak swings for the body but Alexander moves out of range.
Alexander with a lazy takedown attempt and Stefaniak counters with a left and a right that stings Alexander. Stefaniak drops Alexander with a right and a left! Stefaniak comes rushing in but Alexander regains his composure and manages to keep Stefaniak in guard.
Alexander is rocked! Stefaniak missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Oh Alexander is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Alexander knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stefaniak on the ground. Alexander avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Alexander seems to have got his legs back now. Stefaniak's corner is telling him to maintain position. Stefaniak slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Alexander is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Stefaniak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alexander keeps working. Alexander is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Stefaniak has just dragged him back down to the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alexander is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stefaniak creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Stefaniak looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stefaniak trying to control the action but Alexander is working from the bottom. That's two minutes gone in the round. Stefaniak working the ground and pound. Stefaniak working away. Stefaniak tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Alexander is trying to escape the position but Stefaniak is controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stefaniak scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Alexander to see if he's OK. Stefaniak controlling the position. Stefaniak advances to mount. Alexander on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Alexander tries to get out of the position.

Stefaniak is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Alexander to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Alexander shrugs it off. Stefaniak lands a nice shot to the head. Stefaniak tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Stefaniak trying to control but Alexander is having none of it. Alexander taking shots to the head.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stefaniak in side control, just content to control the action for now. Stefaniak rushes Alexander and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Alexander wants to break free but Stefaniak has control.

Stefaniak throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Alexander stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Alexander darts in trying to clinch and Stefaniak counters with a nice body shot. Stefaniak closes the distance and clinches. Alexander swings wildly with an uppercut but Stefaniak uses good head movement to avoid it. Alexander has had enough of the clinch but Stefaniak keeps him there for the moment. Alexander is working for takedown but Stefaniak is calmly controlling the position for now. Stefaniak lands an elbow inside that Alexander shrugs off. Alexander jumps guard but Stefaniak stands there with Alexander around his waist. Alexander gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Alexander's face as he tries to break the clinch. Alexander blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Stefaniak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Stefaniak tries to bum rush Alexander with a series of wild strikes but Alexander uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Alexander with a poor takedown and Stefaniak counters with a series of strikes. Alexander will be more careful next time no doubt. Alexander circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice body punch from Stefaniak. Stefaniak defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Alexander. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Alexander tries for a takedown but Stefaniak circles away easily and Stefaniak counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Alexander! Stefaniak has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stefaniak passes to side control. Stefaniak tries for a kimura but Alexander is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Alexander gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The referee warns Alexander that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Stefaniak looking to control but Alexander is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Stefaniak working the ground and pound effectively.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Stefaniak lands with some strikes. Alexander tries to lock up and control but Stefaniak gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Stefaniak landing strikes from the mount. Stefaniak landing strikes, looking to finish! Stefaniak looking to control but Alexander is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Stefaniak is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Alexander can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Stefaniak lands a heavy elbow. Stefaniak pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alexander is looking to improve his position but Stefaniak isn't that keen on the idea. Alexander tries to lock up and control but Stefaniak gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stefaniak with the ground and pound from mount. BOOM! Stefaniak connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Alexander defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Stefaniak. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anthony Stefaniak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Alexander has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stefaniak avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Alexander tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Stefaniak lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Alexander tries to circle away but Stefaniak has him pinned against the cage. Stefaniak pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stefaniak closes the distance and clinches. Alexander tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stefaniak smiles and moves away.

Stefaniak lands with a nice combination. Alexander backs away looking to recover. Mark Alexander is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Oooh a lovely combination from Stefaniak sends Alexander down but not out. Stefaniak dives into side control looking to finish. Stefaniak trying to control the action but Alexander is working from the bottom. A lull in the action here as Stefaniak stalls from top position. Stefaniak tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Stefaniak thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Stefaniak has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stefaniak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Alexander is looking to escape. Stefaniak landing punches. Alexander tries to hold on but Stefaniak pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight! Anthony Stefaniak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Stefaniak has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
