Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Luke Barley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Kauo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kauo's choice of entrance music: RAWR. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Luke Barley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jesse Kauo! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kauo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kauo tries for a takedown but Barley circles away easily and Barley counters with a nice double leg into guard. Kauo keeping moving, preventing Barley from controlling successfully. Barley content to stall in guard here. Barley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kauo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kauo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Barley is aware though and is defending well. Barley is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Barley postures up.
We're going to have a standup here because Luke Barley wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Barley shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Barley showed some decent athleticism there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barley moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Kauo.
Kauo takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. The strikes coming from Barley are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Barley tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Kauo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Barley's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Kauo trying to control but Barley postures up.
Kauo wants to improve his position but Barley is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Barley is trying to control the action in half guard but Kauo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Barley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kauo on the ground. Kauo actively working from the bottom here. Kauo is looking to control Barley's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kauo avoid being mounted? Barley stalling. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kauo is trying to control but can't.
Barley wants to pass the guard but Kauo is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kauo is looking to control Barley's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kauo avoid being mounted? Barley wants to pass to mount but Kauo is defending the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kauo tries for a takedown but Barley circles away easily and Barley counters with a nice double leg into guard. Barley is breathing heavily. Kauo thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Kauo controls Barley momentarily but Barley frees himself. Barley has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Barley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Barley could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kauo keeping moving, preventing Barley from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Luke Barley just wasn't active enough. Kauo knocks Barley to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Barley is rocked!
It looks like Luke Barley has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kauo cracks Barley with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Kauo immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Barley is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Kauo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesse Kauo!
