Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ed Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Stephen Lynch - Special Ed. Julian Reis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ed Nelson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Julian Reis! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson throws a hook but Reis avoids it easily. Reis throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Nelson counters with a nice uppercut. Nelson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Reis is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Reis darts in trying to clinch and Nelson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Nelson circles away from the clinch attempt and Reis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Reis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Reis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nelson lands a nice hook to Reis's body. Reis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Reis throws a right hand that misses
and Nelson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Reis is rocked!

It looks like Julian Reis has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Nelson fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Reis to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Reis looks to clinch but Nelson throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Reis taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Ed Nelson!
