Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lance Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daryl Horner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Storm comes to the cage accompanied by Mainlining Murder. Daryl Horner looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lance Storm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daryl Horner! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Horner trying to control but Storm is having none of it. Storm on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Storm tries to get out of the position. Storm working to try and regain half guard.
Horner blocks Storm's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Storm tries to get back to half guard but can't. Storm is working hard here to advance position. Storm gets back to half guard. Storm is trying to maintain the position but Horner is very close to passing his half guard. Storm holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm manages to get to full guard.
Horner looks gassed! Horner would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Storm trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Storm pushes Horner off and scrambles back to his feet.
Storm tries to clinch there but Horner circles away.
Horner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Storm but Storm pushes him off and we're back to square one. Horner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Storm closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Storm working aggressively here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Storm is in close to Horner's body, working some short punches and elbows. Storm is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Storm is pushing down on Horner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Horner is fighting to maintain full guard but Storm has managed to sneak the leg through. Storm frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Horner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Storm. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Storm fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

A nice elbow there by Storm. Storm lands a big elbow. Storm has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Horner's face.
Horner wants to control but Storm is having none of it. Horner can't escape the position.

Storm could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Storm misses with a head shot. Horner's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Horner is looking to improve his position but Storm isn't that keen on the idea. Storm working the ground and pound effectively.
Horner is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Storm landing strikes, looking to finish! Storm looking to finish Horner with some ground and pound. This is bad for Horner! BOOM! Storm connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Storm can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Horner is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horner swats away the attempt to clinch by Storm. No luck for Horner with that takedown attempt. Storm shoots in and bounces Horner off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Storm wants to control from the top but Horner keeps moving. Horner wants to stand but Storm is controlling the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Horner throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm cracks Horner with a solid left hand. Storm with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Horner wants to stand up but Storm is controlling him. Horner has Storm pulled in close to control his posture. Storm thows a big elbow that misses. Horner is looking to stand up but Storm isn't so interested in that idea. Storm sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Horner's guard. Storm winds up and cracks Horner with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Storm works his way into full mount! Storm throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horner is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Horner is wriggling around trying to escape.
Storm looking to land elbow strikes but Horner uses the position to regain half guard. Storm is thwarting Horner's attempts to control the position. Storm throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Horner blocking the ground and pound attempt from Storm. Horner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Storm is working away from the top position though.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Storm is looking to clinch but Horner is avoiding it.
Storm takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Horner goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Storm gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Horner breaks from the clinch.
Storm fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Horner rushes Storm and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Horner wants to get back to striking at distance but Storm won't allow it.

Storm tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Horner smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lance Storm. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Storm will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Horner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Storm tries to clinch but Horner is having none of it. Storm closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Storm lands in his opponent's guard. Storm advances to half guard. Horner has hold of Storm's hands but Storm slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Storm shoots for a double leg takedown but Horner sprawls well. He's pushed Storm's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Horner shoots in and drives through. Storm sprawls well. Storm wants to clinch and Horner counters with a series of strikes. Storm will be more careful next time no doubt.

It looks like Lance Storm has been cut. Storm tries to clinch but fails miserably and Horner counters by clinching up. Storm using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Horner has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Lance Storm overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Storm has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Storm putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Horner is rocked! Storm scoring with strikes but Horner is staying in there. Horner is still in real trouble! Can Storm finish him? Storm has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Storm postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Horner in real trouble here! The ref calls for Horner to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
