Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leon Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Juliard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hughes comes into the arena with Hear Me Now blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leon Hughes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jackson Juliard! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Juliard keeps the fight on the outside. Juliard misses with a takedown attempt and Hughes counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Juliard's guard now. Hughes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hughes tries to stand but Juliard is controlling from the bottom. Hughes trying to control but Juliard is working from the bottom. Hughes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Juliard swivels though and keeps the full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hughes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hughes trying to control but Juliard is working from the bottom. Juliard lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hughes! Juliard thowing shots but they're missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Juliard thowing shots but they're missing. Juliard trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hughes avoids a series of strikes thrown by Juliard.
Juliard throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Juliard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hughes working to try and regain half guard.
Juliard with a couple of short strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Juliard throwing strikes here but Hughes is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Hughes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Juliard working the ground and pound effectively.
Hughes sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Hughes wants to control but Juliard is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Juliard trying to control the position from guard on top but Hughes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hughes working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Juliard. Hughes working a defensive guard here.
Juliard works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hughes is trying to get back to full guard. Juliard seems to be looking for submissions.
Hughes is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Juliard is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Juliard not landing any meaningful shots this time. Juliard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hughes keeps working. Juliard is looking for a kimura here.
Juliard wants to control but Hughes is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Leon Hughes will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hughes tries to clinch up and Juliard counters with a single leg into guard. Hughes didn't expect that. Hughes tries to land a sweep but no joy. Juliard landing with the ground and pound. Hughes keeping full guard, as Juliard tries to pass. Juliard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Juliard throwing strikes from guard but Hughes blocks nicely. Juliard tries to free his leg and advance position but Hughes is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hughes keeping moving, preventing Juliard from controlling successfully. Juliard postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hughes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Juliard, into his guard. Juliard had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hughes defends it easily. Juliard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hughes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hughes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Juliard unloads with some shots from mount but Hughes bucks and avoids them well.
Hughes is trying desperately to improve position. Juliard can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hughes is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Juliard working away from the top, dropping strikes. Juliard avoids the attempt from Hughes to control. Juliard is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Hughes is forced to tap! Great finish!
