Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pat Marr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Amoroso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amoroso comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Renegades of Funk - Rage Against The Machine kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pat Marr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Julio Amoroso! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amoroso shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Marr pinned against the cage. Marr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Amoroso shoots for a double leg takedown but Marr sprawls well. He's pushed Amoroso's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Amoroso throws a sloppy head kick and Marr moves out of range easily. Amoroso tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marr swivels and escapes. Pat Marr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julio Amoroso. Marr blocks a leg kick. Marr clinches up against the cage. Marr gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Amoroso.
Marr manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amoroso will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Amoroso shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Marr closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Marr lands in his opponent's guard. Amoroso looks gassed! Amoroso looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marr connects with a couple of short punches. Marr wants to control from the top but Amoroso keeps moving. Amoroso wants to get back to his feet but Marr is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Amoroso is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Marr looking to pass the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Marr works a leg free and moves into half guard. Amoroso blocking the ground and pound attempt from Marr. Amoroso wants to get back to full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Marr moves into range and clinches up with Amoroso. Marr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Amoroso tries for a takedown but Marr circles away easily and Marr counters with a shoot takedown. Amoroso fights it but they end up in guard.
Amoroso is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marr postures up and lands a big shot to Amoroso's brow. Amoroso is still in real trouble! Can Marr finish him? Amoroso is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Marr trying to control but Amoroso postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Amoroso seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Amoroso seems to have recovered his senses. Amoroso thows a huge punch but Marr dodges it nicely.
Amoroso seems to be looking for submissions.
Marr trying to control here.
Marr wants to get back to full guard. Amoroso throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Amoroso tries to keep at a distance but Marr has taken the fight into the clinch. Amoroso is fighting off a takedown attempt but Marr is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Amoroso to the mat. Amoroso regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amoroso is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Marr is controlling him. Marr wants to pass the guard but Amoroso is keeping the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Amoroso is on top in guard.
Amoroso trying to control but Marr is working from the bottom. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Marr looking to hit a scissor sweep but Amoroso is one step ahead there. Amoroso stands and throws Marr's legs to the side, diving into side control. Amoroso in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Marr is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
