Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Watson!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan scores with a crisp jab that stopped Watson in his tracks.


It looks like Andrew Watson has been cut.
Morgan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Watson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Morgan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Watson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Morgan throws a series of punches but Watson avoids them all with ease.
Watson throws a nice head kick!
Morgan scores with a body shot.
Watson looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A punch combination from Morgan misses.

Morgan gets a clinch.
Morgan prevents Watson from breaking the clinch.
Watson keeps control of Morgan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Morgan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Morgan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Morgan breaks from the clinch.

Morgan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Watson's guard.
Morgan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Morgan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Morgan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Morgan drops Watson with a beautiful combination! Watson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Morgan is looking for the KO!


Watson is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A head kick misses from Morgan.
Morgan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Morgan throws a shot to the body.
Matt Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Watson dodges the punch combination from Morgan.
Andrew Watson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Watson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.


That has opened up Andrew Watson's cut even more.

Morgan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Watson sprawling to the canvas! Watson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Morgan finish him?!
Morgan lands with a right and another and another! Watson is in big trouble! Morgan lands again and this time it's lights out for Watson! A quality knockout there for Morgan.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Matt Morgan!
