Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Eld (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel has chosen Survivor - Burning Heart as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John Steel was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arthur Eld! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Steel! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eld throws a low kick but it's checked well by Steel. Eld misses with an uppercut. Steel saw that one coming. Steel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Eld counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steel thinking. Steel misses with the combination.
Steel lands with a nice body punch. Steel throws a lazy uppercut
and Eld counters with a stiff right hand. Steel goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Arthur Eld has been cut. Steel misses the body punch and Eld counters with a straight right hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Steel throws a left and a right that both miss
and Eld counters with a straight right hand. Eld tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Steel was well out of range. Poor timing from Eld. Steel just misses with a punch to the body.
Eld lands a jab to Steel's midsection. Eld uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Steel.
Eld comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Steel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Eld cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. John Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Eld takes a swing at Steel's ribcage but misses. Steel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Eld counters with a series of strikes. Steel will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Eld's head. Steel lands a jab-cross combination. Steel dodges the punch combination from Eld.
Steel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Steel falls off balance throwing a combination
and Eld counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Eld lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like John Steel has been cut. Eld fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Eld getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Steel is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Steel misses with a left hand and Eld makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Steel looks gassed! Eld misses with a two punch combination.
Eld fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Steel. Steel throws an off balance right hand
and Eld counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Eld sizes up Steel with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eld changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Steel checks a leg kick. Eld cracks Steel with an open hand slap. Steel is still on wobbly legs! Can Eld finish him? Eld closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Steel! Eld dives in looking to finish! Steel is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arthur Eld!
