Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christian Alkofer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dallas Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dallas Hall is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Christian Alkofer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dallas Hall! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Alkofer. Hall wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Hall is letting Alkofer control him for a moment. Alkofer misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Hall wants to control but Alkofer postures up. Hall prevents Alkofer from moving into mount. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alkofer creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hall sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Alkofer just content to control the position. Alkofer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hall doesn't succeed with the takedown and Alkofer counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hall! Alkofer pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Alkofer sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hall takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alkofer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Alkofer landing punches. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Alkofer pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alkofer with the ground and pound from mount. Alkofer misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Hall looks gassed! Alkofer sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Alkofer lands a nice shot to the head. Alkofer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Alkofer raining down shots from the mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alkofer controlling the position easily from mount. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hall avoids a series of strikes thrown by Alkofer.

Christian Alkofer dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A jab from Hall misses. Alkofer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hall. Hall doesn't succeed with the takedown and Alkofer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hall's guard now. Alkofer sitting in guard here, content to control. Alkofer slips nicely into half guard. Alkofer is nestled in close to Hall, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Still in half guard, Alkofer seems content to control. Hall is breathing heavily. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hall can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alkofer works his foot free and advances to mount. Alkofer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Alkofer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Alkofer lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alkofer looking to control and managing it successfully. Alkofer is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hall can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Alkofer lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Alkofer working Hall over with strikes here. Hall is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Alkofer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hall wants to control but Alkofer is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alkofer controlling the position easily from mount. Hall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alkofer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Christian Alkofer just wasn't active enough. Alkofer bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Alkofer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Hall tries to get back to half guard but can't. Alkofer taking a breather here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christian Alkofer dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Alkofer takes the fight into the clinch. Alkofer tries to land a knee to the head but Hall blocks with his arms.
Hall has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Alkofer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Alkofer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hall can do to turn this around? Alkofer with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Alkofer lands a nice knee to the body. Alkofer using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hall has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Alkofer pressing his opponent against the cage. Alkofer connects with a nasty looking knee right to Hall's face.
Alkofer breaks the clinch.
Hall misses the shot to the body. Christian Alkofer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hall takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hall shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Alkofer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hall's guard now. Hall being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alkofer lands a couple of elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alkofer engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Alkofer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Alkofer showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Christian Alkofer. Alkofer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hall's guard. Alkofer with a flurry of punches that miss. Alkofer is stalling in the full guard. Alkofer distracts Hall with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alkofer lands a couple of decent looking shots. Alkofer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Alkofer stands up over Hall, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Alkofer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Alkofer lands a couple of digs. Alkofer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hall's head. Alkofer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Dallas Hall has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Christian Alkofer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Christian Alkofer showed his dominance in that final round. Well Alkofer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
