Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Memin Pinguin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rabago comes into the arena with "Stop Reading, Start Doing Pushups" blaring out of the sound system. Memin Pinguin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Rabago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Memin Pinguin! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rabago shoots in for a takedown but Pinguin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Pinguin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Rabago closes the distance and clinches up with Pinguin, looking for a takedown. Rabago pushes Pinguin against the cage but Pinguin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rabago tries for a takedown but Pinguin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Rabago. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pinguin slaps away a takedown attempt from Rabago, before circling back to the center of the mat. Horrible takedown by Rabago or perhaps it was just good defense by Pinguin which made him look bad. Rabago misses with a takedown attempt - Pinguin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rabago closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rabago seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rabago lands a nice short elbow. Rabago knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pinguin on the ground. Rabago uses his free foot to push down on Pinguin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pinguin. Rabago fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rabago cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Pinguin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pinguin wants it to stay on the feet. Rabago fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Pinguin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rabago. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Rabago. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rabago changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pinguin tries to avoid it but Rabago manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pinguin to the ground. Pinguin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rabago misses with a few strikes there.
Pinguin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rabago paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rabago fails with the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rabago misses with a takedown attempt and Pinguin counters by moving into the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Rabago. Pinguin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rabago breaks the clinch.

Rabago shoots in but Pinguin avoids the takedown attempt easily. Adam Rabago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rabago fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pinguin tries to clinch up but Rabago circles away and keeps his distance. Pinguin stuffs the takedown attempt from Rabago. Rabago gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rabago shoots in and drives through. Pinguin sprawls well. Adam Rabago is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pinguin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rabago swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rabago looks to land a combination but Pinguin avoids it well. Pinguin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rabago manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rabago looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rabago is trying to push Pinguin away but Pinguin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Rabago wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Rabago breaks from the clinch.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Adam Rabago overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rabago takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Rabago working over Pinguin with some ground and pound. Pinguin looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Rabago scores with a couple of good hammerfists. That was a close second round but I would say that Adam Rabago will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Rabago lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Rabago showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rabago, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
