Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Best Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Ewing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Best Fighter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Buck Ewing! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fighter looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ewing is looking to control Fighter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ewing avoid being mounted? Fighter content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Ewing is looking to improve his position.
Still in half guard, Fighter seems content to control. Fighter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ewing for as long as he can get away with. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Ewing wants to control but Fighter is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Best Fighter just wasn't active enough. A shot to the liver by Ewing. Beautiful body shot. Fighter scores with a takedown into Ewing's guard. Fighter controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ewing looking for a sweep. Not yet Ewing, not yet. Ewing throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Fighter trying to control the position from guard on top but Ewing is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Ewing is trying to control the position but Fighter postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Best Fighter just wasn't active enough. Ewing fails to land the takedown. Fighter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ewing to the mat! Ewing manages to get full guard. Fighter is breathing heavily. Ewing looking to control.
Fighter wants to stand but Ewing is controlling his posture from full guard. Ewing wants to sweep here but Fighter controlling him for the moment. Ewing thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Ewing bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fighter's guard. Ewing throws a big right hand that misses. Ewing thows a big elbow that misses. Fighter keeping moving, preventing Ewing from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ewing might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fighter kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Buck Ewing was stalling too much, according to the referee. Ewing fails with a takedown attempt. Ewing throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Ewing throws a head kick but Fighter moves out of range.
Ewing's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ewing duly obliges. Ewing looks for the body kick but Fighter saw that one coming. Ewing tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ewing shoots in but no luck this time. Best Fighter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buck Ewing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ewing scores with a crisp jab that stopped Fighter in his tracks. Ewing lands a two punch combo.
Fighter is rocked! OH! Fighter has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Ewing smells blood and charges in for the finish! Ewing unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Fighter sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Buck Ewing!
