Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pleas Honeywood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Bonner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Honeywood comes to the cage accompanied by Soul by the Pound. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bonner's choice of entrance music: Till I Collapse- Eminem. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honeywood wants to clinch
and Bonner counters with a stiff right hand.
Junior Bonner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Honeywood tries to clinch but Bonner moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Honeywood or perhaps it was just good defense by Bonner which made him look bad.
Bonner moves forwards but Honeywood connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Honeywood has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bonner avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Honeywood.

Honeywood throws and elbow that misses. Bonner uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Honeywood's guard. Nice move by Bonner!

Honeywood is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Honeywood working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bonner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bonner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Honeywood escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bonner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bonner is looking to stand up but Honeywood won't let him.

Honeywood has his foot on Bonner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bonner works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Pleas Honeywood will probably get the nod.
