And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Vargas misses
and Nnep counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nnep.
Nnep is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Vargas successfully pulls guard.
Vargas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nnep is aware though and is defending well.
Nnep keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Vargas's head.

Vargas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nnep can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nnep stands and steps away. Vargas gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Nnep fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vargas manages to avoid it.
Vargas tries to keep at a distance but Nnep has taken the fight into the clinch.
Vargas jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nnep walks away with a smile on his face. Vargas gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nnep ducks under a wild hook from Vargas.
Vargas throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Vargas lands a nice shot that snaps Nnep's head back.

and Nnep decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vargas's guard.
Vargas is looking for a triangle but Nnep pushes his legs off easily.

Vargas has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Nnep is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Vargas.
Nnep is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Vargas looks calm but he's in trouble here. Nnep gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Vargas is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Nnep lets go of the hold and Vargas can pop his arm back in it's socket.
