Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nathan St Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pain Traygasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St Peters's entrance music is Time By Culture Club. A fine choice. Traygasquez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Crystal Castles - Vanished kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Traygasquez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
St Peters decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. St Peters stops Traygasquez from getting back to his feet.
Traygasquez works his way to full guard. Good work. St Peters controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. St Peters is looking to work some ground and pound but Traygasquez has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Traygasquez working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from St Peters. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. St Peters with a flurry of punches that miss. St Peters has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Traygasquez can't keep his opponent in guard - St Peters advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. St Peters misses with a head shot. Traygasquez uses the momentum to regain guard. St Peters wants to pass the guard but Traygasquez is keeping the position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. St Peters stops Traygasquez from standing up. St Peters showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nathan St Peters wasn't doing enough on the ground. Traygasquez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Nathan St Peters has been cut. St Peters fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Traygasquez sprawls well initially but St Peters persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as St Peters accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. St Peters wants to pass the guard but Traygasquez is keeping the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Nathan St Peters wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Traygasquez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Traygasquez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. St Peters blocks a head kick by Traygasquez.
Traygasquez is breathing heavily. St Peters shoots for a double leg takedown but Traygasquez sprawls well. He's pushed St Peters's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A head kick by Traygasquez misses and St Peters counters with a takedown into side control. St Peters misses with the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Traygasquez is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Nathan St Peters overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. An elbow from St Peters crashes against the mat.
Traygasquez tries to control the position but he's not in luck - St Peters easily slips into full mount! St Peters looking to control and managing it successfully.

St Peters has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Traygasquez's face.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Traygasquez is trying to escape the mount.
Traygasquez is squirming around, avoiding St Peters's attempts to control the action. Traygasquez keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

St Peters closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Traygasquez did well to prevent St Peters getting side control. Traygasquez tries to roll over but St Peters keeps him under control. Traygasquez wants to stand back up but St Peters manages to pass into side control.
Traygasquez avoids any damage from the ground and pound of St Peters.

He's worked his way up against the cage but St Peters has just dragged him back down to the mat. Traygasquez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. St Peters tries to score with some ground and pound. Traygasquez controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The strikes coming from St Peters are missing the target in this wave of attacks. St Peters trying to control the action but Traygasquez is working from the bottom. Traygasquez gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. St Peters looks to land a strike but Traygasquez avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Traygasquez can't keep his opponent in guard - St Peters advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. St Peters throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Pain Traygasquez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Traygasquez pushes St Peters off looking to stand but St Peters dives back in and keeps control.
St Peters looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Traygasquez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. St Peters not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! St Peters sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Traygasquez defending well though.
And that's the end of the fight! Nathan St Peters showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for St Peters, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
