The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pope stuns Richardson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jesus Pope hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Pope closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Richardson to the mat! Richardson manages to get full guard.
Pope seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The fighters circle, before Pope throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Richardson's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Pope lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
