Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Janusz Janusz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mz Aszad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mz Aszad is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janusz misses with a lunging right hand
and Aszad counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Aszad darts in and clinches Janusz up against the cage.
Janusz is trying to break the clinch but Aszad is controlling him.

Aszad's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Aszad on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Janusz lands a left and a right that sends Aszad crashing to the canvas! Janusz dives into mount looking to finish!

It looks like Mz Aszad has been cut.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Aszad holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Janusz is trying to force a seperation but Aszad has the dominant position.
Janusz wants to break free but Aszad has control.
Janusz wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Aszad has him pressed against the cage.

Aszad breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Janusz enables Aszad to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Janusz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Aszad drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aszad jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Janusz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Aszad gets to his feet. Janusz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Aszad moves into the clinch.
Janusz wants to get back to striking at distance but Aszad won't allow it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Aszad shoots in and bounces Janusz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Aszad drops back, looking for a kneebar! Janusz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Janusz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Janusz!

Aszad sneaks out the side door and pushes Janusz away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Janusz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aszad has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Janusz has managed to get both his arms back between Aszad's legs - danger averted.
