Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dj Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mao Zedong!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Zedong darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zedong as he jumps to the side.
Zedong lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Anderson with a poor takedown
and Zedong connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Zedong drops Anderson with a beautiful combination! Anderson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Zedong is looking for the KO!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Anderson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Anderson is breathing heavily.
Zedong throws a series of punches but Anderson moves out of range.
Zedong misses with the combination.
Zedong lands a right hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Anderson throws a wild hook but Zedong just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Anderson gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Zedong raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mao Zedong!
