Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grim Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Simic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzales comes to the cage accompanied by Let it roll. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simic darts in and clinches Gonzales up against the cage.
Gonzales is trying to force a seperation but Simic has the dominant position.
Gonzales is trying to push Simic away but Simic has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Gonzales jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Simic walks away with a smile on his face. Gonzales gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Gonzales wants to clinch up but Simic keeps it at a distance.
Gonzales tries to keep at a distance but Simic has taken the fight into the clinch.
Gonzales pulls guard successfully.
Simic must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gonzales is looking to stand up but Simic isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gonzales is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Simic is trying to control the action in half guard but Gonzales is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Simic thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Gonzales tries to get to full guard but Simic has control of the leg.
Gonzales is trying to stand up here but Simic is controlling him well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Simic decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Gonzales tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Simic swivels and escapes.
Simic fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gonzales, pushing him back against the cage.
Simic turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Simic manages to end up in side control.

Simic is pressing down on Gonzales's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gonzales is holding on for now.
Gonzales is looking to control Simic's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gonzales avoid being mounted?

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gonzales keeps working.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Gonzales is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Simic's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Simic's back!
Gonzales is trying to stick to Simic's back but Simic is turning into Gonzales. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Gonzales's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Simic.

Ivan Simic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Gonzales's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Simic goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ivan Simic hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Gonzales is stalling here. Simic is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gonzales seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Simic has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Simic shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gonzales's guard.
Simic slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Gonzales is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ivan Simic comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Simic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
