The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitch with a lazy takedown attempt
and Nelson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fitch has his takedown stuffed
and Nelson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Nelson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Jon Fitch has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nelson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Nelson stuns Fitch with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Fitch looks gassed!
Nelson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Nelson scoring well with a low kick there.
Fitch with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Nelson to score with a decent uppercut.
Nelson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nelson throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nelson throws a monster overhand right that drops Fitch! Nelson follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
