Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Kabal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peste Negra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven Kabal looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kabal has his takedown stuffed

and Negra counters with a single leg into guard. Kabal didn't expect that.

Negra postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Peste Negra hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Peste Negra hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Negra shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Negra was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Negra connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Negra moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kabal has worked his arm free - good work by Kabal!

Negra stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Negra tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kabal manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Negra pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Negra fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kabal looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Negra decides to stand back up. Negra steps back and let's Kabal get back to his feet.
Kabal takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Peste Negra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Negra tries to clinch but Kabal is having none of it.

Negra looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Negra slips a nice elbow through Kabal's hands, connecting with Kabal's forehead.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's time! Kabal's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Negra changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kabal looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
A lull in the action here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Negra tries to advance to mount but can't.

Negra is trying to get an arm triangle but Kabal is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Negra decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Steven Kabal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Negra shoots in for a takedown but Kabal shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Negra throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Negra moves in looking to clinch but Kabal pushes him off.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Negra gets to his feet. Kabal looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Negra misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kabal gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kabal preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Peste Negra showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Negra shoots for a double leg takedown but Kabal sprawls well. He's pushed Negra's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kabal avoids the body shot from Negra.
Sloppy strikes from Kabal. Those never looked like landing.

Negra drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Negra jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Negra throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kabal was covering up waiting for the punch and Negra finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Negra slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
