Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magish Breyter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Purple Akki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breyter fails with the takedown
and Akki counters with a three punch combo that has Breyter backing up. Breyter nods at Akki to acknowledge the strikes.
Akki throws the kick towards the body but Breyter avoids it.
Breyter looks to clinch
so Akki counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Akki is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Breyter wants to stand and escape but Akki is having none of it.

Akki postures up in Breyter's guard and throws a big left but Breyter blocks it.
Breyter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Let's hope that Akki has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Purple Akki has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Akki misses with a shot to the body
and Breyter counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Akki is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Akki shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Breyter eats them both and turns towards Akki to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Akki counters with a nice uppercut.

and Akki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Breyter is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Akki controls from within his opponent's guard.
Akki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Purple Akki hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Akki paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Magish Breyter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Breyter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Akki.

Breyter tries for a takedown but Akki circles away easily
and Akki counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Magish Breyter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Akki is controlling the pace.
Akki's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Purple Akki hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Akki thows a body shot but no joy.
Akki circles away from the clinch attempt
and Akki counters with a nice body shot.
Akki moves into the clinch successfully.
Breyter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Akki walks away with a smile on his face. Breyter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Akki looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Purple Akki dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Akki lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Akki.
It looks like Magish Breyter has been cut.
Akki throws a shot from downtown. Breyter moves away and avoids it.
