Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson has chosen hear me now-hollywood undead as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Anderson! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson takes the fight into the clinch. Silva is trying to drag Anderson to the mat but Anderson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Silva tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Anderson just stands there and leans against the cage. Anderson is pressed up against the cage. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Anderson down to the mat. Anderson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Silva is working for a submission of some sort.
Anderson tries to kick Silva off but Silva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Silva looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Silva is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson pushes Silva off and gets back to his feet. Jose Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva fails with a takedown attempt. Anderson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage. Anderson is pressed up against the cage. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Anderson down to the mat. Anderson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Anderson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Anderson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Silva with a poor takedown and Anderson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Anderson. Silva has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Anderson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Silva. Silva is breathing heavily. Silva is trying to control Anderson's posture but Anderson avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Anderson working away. Anderson in side control lands a decent elbow. Silva manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Silva gets back to full guard.
Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Anderson wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson postures up and lands a big shot to Silva's brow. Anderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Anderson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Silva working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Anderson has passed into half guard!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Silva. Silva trying to strike off his back.
Anderson stopping the sweep attempt from Silva. Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Anderson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Anderson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Anderson enables Silva to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Anderson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Silva advances position into side control! Anderson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Silva is controlling him well. Silva working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Silva stands up and beckons Anderson to his feet. Anderson is breathing heavily. Anderson has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.
Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Anderson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Silva get's back to his feet. Anderson stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet. Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Anderson tries to escape but Silva is in control. You can see the frustration on Anderson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Anderson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Silva looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Anderson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Anderson's back! A lull in the action here.
Silva patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Silva is hanging on to Anderson's back as he tries to escape.
Anderson wants to get back to his feet. Anderson has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Silva.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva throwing wild punches that miss their target. Anderson is trying to get back to his feet but Silva has full control of the position and if anything, Anderson has just worked his way into a worse spot. Silva has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Anderson is in real trouble here. Silva gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Anderson is tapping out! Silva wins by rear naked choke!
