The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendosa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sliver moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sliver swings widly with a right hand
and Mendosa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mendosa lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Mendosa wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nice takedown defense from Sliver. No joy for Mendosa on that attempt.
Mendosa throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sliver on the side of the head.

Mendosa gets caught napping as Sliver dives in and scores a takedown. Mendosa manages to retain guard.

Mendosa tries to free his leg and advance position but Sliver is retaining full guard.

Mendosa is pressing down on Sliver's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sliver is holding on for now.
Mendosa stops Sliver from getting back to his feet.
Mendosa maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Sliver could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Mendosa has cracked it and Sliver is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Mendosa!
