Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Clarkson! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.

Clarkson drives through with a takedown into Barker's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Clarkson stands and throws Barker's legs to the side, diving into side control. Barker struggling a bit here. Clarkson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Barker struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Clarkson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Barker throws a leg kick but Clarkson sees it coming and moves out of range. Clarkson avoids the head kick by Barker.
Barker lands a left and a right that send Clarkson crashing to the mat, dazed. Barker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Clarkson is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barker lands a hook that stumbles Clarkson back into the cage. Barker follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Clarkson to the canvas! Barker pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Clarkson has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Travis Barker!
