Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toranaga Sekigaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Bourque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toranaga Sekigaru has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Toranaga Sekigaru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Bourque!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sekigaru shoots in but Bourque avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bourque blocks a head kick by Sekigaru.
Bourque slips a jab and a cross from Sekigaru.
A lazy left from Sekigaru finds it's target.
Sekigaru throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sekigaru fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Horrible takedown by Sekigaru or perhaps it was just good defense by Bourque which made him look bad.
Sekigaru takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Sekigaru uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bourque.

Bourque closes the distance and clinches.
Bourque with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Bourque gets through Sekigaru's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Bourque tries to land a knee to the head but Sekigaru blocks with his arms.

Bourque is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Sekigaru still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Sekigaru has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Bourque is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bourque drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sekigaru looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sekigaru looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sekigaru!

Sekigaru throws a right and a left that both miss.

Bourque stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sekigaru swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sekigaru is not content to let Bourque control the position.
Bourque is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Sekigaru reverses the position - he's now on top in Bourque's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Bourque has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
