Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny McBride (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reis comes into the arena with Survivor - Eye of the Tiger blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 11 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ricardo Reis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Danny McBride! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reis throws a low kick but McBride avoids it. Reis throws a head kick that misses. A clash of legs there as McBride blocks the low kick. Reis goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Reis just misses with a punch to the body.
McBride shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reis counters with an outside leg kick.
McBride dives in and grabs Reis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reis pushes down on McBride's head and hops out. McBride stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Reis. Reis attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Reis lands a leg kick that knocks McBride off balance momentarily. Reis throws a head kick but McBride moves out of range.
McBride with a lazy takedown attempt and Reis counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. McBride is lucky that one didn't land flush. Ricardo Reis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny McBride. A head kick misses from Reis. Reis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McBride fails with the takedown and Reis counters with a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reis scoring well with a low kick there.
McBride is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Reis misses with a head kick.
Reis moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. McBride stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Reis. Reis scores with a nice body kick.
McBride looks gassed! Reis throws a head kick that misses. Some wild striking there from Reis.
Reis lands with a kick to the temple. McBride shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" McBride has his takedown stuffed and McBride takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Reis cracks the inside of McBride's front leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Reis throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Reis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. McBride takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Reis misses with a straight left. Reis misses with a head kick.
Reis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. McBride shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reis counters with a nice low kick that buckles McBride's knee momentarily. Reis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Reis dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McBride. That did some damage! McBride takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
That's three minutes gone in the round. McBride works Reis's body with a nice hook. Reis throws a nice outside leg kick. McBride's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Reis tries a head kick but it misses.
McBride moves out of range of the body kick from Reis.
McBride gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Reis misses with a body kick. Reis scores with a spinning back kick! Reis throws a series of punches but McBride moves out of range. McBride avoids the head kick by Reis.
Reis thows a body shot but no joy. Reis swats away the attempt to clinch by McBride.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McBride blocks a head kick by Reis.
Reis connects with a solid leg kick. Reis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McBride. Reis throws a nice outside leg kick. McBride with a lazy takedown attempt and Reis counters with an outside leg kick.
Reis throws a left and a right that both miss
so McBride counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. McBride is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reis keeping moving, preventing McBride from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricardo Reis dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Reis. McBride shrugs it off though. McBride gets a double leg takedown into Reis's guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. McBride wants to pass the guard but Reis is keeping the position. McBride trying to control but Reis is working from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. McBride is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. McBride is pushing down on Reis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Reis is fighting to maintain full guard but McBride has managed to sneak the leg through. McBride wants to pass to mount but Reis is defending the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. McBride wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reis keeps working.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Danny McBride hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Reis wants to land a leg kick but McBride is out of range. McBride shoots in and drives through. Reis sprawls well. McBride looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ricardo Reis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Reis misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reis throws a nice looking combination but McBride bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. McBride has a takedown stuffed. Ricardo Reis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny McBride. McBride looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Reis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Reis tries to get out of the position. McBride forces his way into half guard. McBride is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Reis sees it coming and defends easily. McBride moves into full mount! Reis won't be happy about that!
That's four minutes gone in the round. McBride throwing strikes here but Reis is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
McBride controlling the pace for now. Reis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McBride on the ground. McBride moves to back control. Reis covering up well under a barage of strikes. Reis fending off the submission attempt from McBride. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny McBride showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
McBride fails with the takedown. No luck with that takedown attempt from McBride. Reis is looking to slow McBride down with leg kicks. Ricardo Reis is winning the standup battle so far. McBride tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McBride avoids the head kick by Reis.
Reis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. McBride shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. McBride working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reis really wants to buck McBride off and get back to his feet. McBride has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Reis is forced to tap!
