Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azh shoots in for a double leg but Karl sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Azh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Karl paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Azh fails to land the takedown.
Karl changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Azh looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Azh can't do much from the bottom here.
Azh gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Azh tries to hold on but Karl pushes him away.
Karl sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Karl really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Azh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Azh bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Karl has Azh pulled in close to control his posture.
Karl is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Azhis looking to pass into half guard but Karl pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Karl is in guard.
Azh wants to sweep here but Karl controlling him for the moment.
Azh is working hard here to advance position.
Azh is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Karl frees his head nicely. Oh but Azh has switched to an armbar! Karl is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
