Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Belanger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Bam Bam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belanger comes to the cage accompanied by morbid ange l- immortal rights. Jackson Bam Bam told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belanger throws a jab when Bam Bam was well out of range.
Belanger tries to clinch but Bam Bam moves away
and Bam Bam counters with a straight right hand.

and Belanger counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bam Bam connects with a good right hand that stumbles Belanger. Belanger circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bam Bam throws a shot from downtown. Belanger moves away and avoids it.
Belanger looks for a takedown but Bam Bam sprawls well.

and Belanger counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bam Bam's guard now.

Belanger passes Bam Bam's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Belanger really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bam Bam is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belanger lands strikes from half guard.
Belanger takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bam Bam wants to get back to full guard.
Belanger is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bam Bam keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bam Bam tries to roll over but Belanger keeps him under control.
Bam Bam wants to control but Belanger is keeping busy.
Belanger throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Belanger thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bam Bam's head.

Belanger takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Well, if Belanger is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Belanger is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bam Bam is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Belanger is really struggling to control Bam Bam but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Bruno Belanger wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Bam Bam throws a hook but Belanger avoids it easily.
Belanger misses with a straight right.
Belanger walks into a straight right hand from Bam Bam.
Bam Bam rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Belanger counters with a single leg into guard. Bam Bam didn't expect that.
Belanger is looking to work some ground and pound but Bam Bam has wrist control.
Belanger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Belanger is pushing down on Bam Bam's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bam Bam is fighting to maintain full guard but Belanger has managed to sneak the leg through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Bam Bam misses with an uppercut
and Belanger counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bam Bam!
Bam Bam tries to lock up and control but Belanger gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Belanger won't let Bam Bam get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bam Bam is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Belanger locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Bam Bam is forced to tap!
