Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Stackhouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Turtchin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stackhouse comes to the cage accompanied by Every Time I Die - Roman Holiday. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dave Stackhouse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Turtchin!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stackhouse lands with a shot to the body.
Turtchin misses with a takedown

and Stackhouse counters with a single leg into guard. Turtchin didn't expect that.

Turtchin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stackhouse gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Stackhouse seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Stackhouse has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Turtchin is looking to regain half guard here but Stackhouse keeps moving and retains side control.

Stackhouse wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Turtchin, who protects the arm well.

Stackhouse remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Turtchin is trying to control Stackhouse's posture but Stackhouse avoids it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Turtchin is looking to control Stackhouse's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Turtchin avoid being mounted?

Stackhouse is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Turtchin defends it well.

Turtchin preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Stackhouse passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Turtchin!
Turtchin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Stackhouse wants to control the pace but Turtchin is squirming around nicely.

Turtchin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stackhouse to score with a decent uppercut.

and Stackhouse counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Turtchin's guard now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well Stackhouse has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
