Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robbie Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackson Jeffcoat! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jeffcoat closes the distance looking to clinch and Jackson counters by clinching up. Jeffcoat connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Robbie Jackson has been cut. Jeffcoat with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Jeffcoat throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jackson blocks it with crossed arms. Jeffcoat tries to land a knee to the head but Jackson blocks with his arms.
Jeffcoat lands a nice elbow. Jeffcoat gets underhooks to prevent Jackson's takedown attempt.
Jackson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Jackson managing to block the knees to the body from Jeffcoat.
Jeffcoat looking to throw knees to the head but Jackson is blocking nicely.
Jeffcoat is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jackson is defending well for now. Jackson is trying to maintain a safe position but Jeffcoat gets an underhook and turns Jackson into the cage. Jackson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Jeffcoat using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jackson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Jackson wants to break free but Jeffcoat has control.
Jeffcoat scores a nice knee to the body.
Jeffcoat looks gassed! Jeffcoat tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jackson avoids it. Jackson breaks the clinch.
Jeffcoat wants to clinch and Jackson counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Jackson. Jackson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Jeffcoat slaps away a takedown attempt from Jackson, before circling back to the center of the mat. A solid leg kick lands there for Jackson.
Jackson looks to land a combination. Jeffcoat sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jackson!
Jackson has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robbie Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson forces Jeffcoat back against the cage and clinches. This has been an exciting period of action! Jackson is trying to break free. Nice body punch from Jackson - that landed with a thud.
Jackson wants to break free but Jeffcoat has control.
Jackson tries to stall but Jeffcoat uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Jackson manages to break the clinch.
Jeffcoat stuffs the takedown. Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into Jeffcoat's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jeffcoat is keeping the position for now. Jackson is pushing down on Jeffcoat's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jeffcoat is fighting to maintain full guard but Jackson has managed to sneak the leg through. Jeffcoat wants to get back to his feet.
Jackson winds up and cracks Jeffcoat with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Jeffcoat is not content to let Jackson control the position. Jackson not doing much here.
Jeffcoat tries to kick Jackson off but Jackson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Jackson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Robbie Jackson just wasn't active enough. Jackson tests Jeffcoat's chin there with a solid looking shot. Jackson takes the fight into the clinch. Jackson is trying to break the clinch but Jeffcoat has him pressed against the cage. Jeffcoat comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Jackson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jackson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Jackson has a closed guard, preventing Jeffcoat from standing up. Jackson pushes a forearm under Jeffcoat's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Jeffcoat is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
