Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salazar's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Antistar (by Massive Attack). Hawkins comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Tubthumping" by Chumbawumba kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salazar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hawkins counters with a stiff right hand.
Salazar closes the distance and clinches up with Hawkins, looking for a takedown. Salazar pushes Hawkins against the cage but Hawkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Salazar misses with a straight left.
Hawkins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Salazar.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robbie Salazar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Salazar misses with a body shot.
Salazar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hawkins pinned against the cage. Hawkins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Robbie Salazar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Salazar looks to land a combination but Hawkins avoids it well.

Hawkins has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Salazar on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Nice straight punches there by Hawkins. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hawkins.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Salazar is rocked!
Hawkins cracks Salazar with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Salazar falls to his knees and Hawkins doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
