Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrzej Wiwatowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad Stolbov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrzej Wiwatowski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andrzej Wiwatowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vlad Stolbov!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stolbov looks for a takedown but Wiwatowski sprawls well.
Stolbov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wiwatowski's waist but Wiwatowski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stolbov off to one side.

Wiwatowski has closed the distance and engaged Stolbov in a clinch.

Stolbov gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Wiwatowski regains guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wiwatowski bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stolbov's guard.

Wiwatowski ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wiwatowski no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Stolbov throws and elbow that misses. Wiwatowski uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stolbov's guard. Nice move by Wiwatowski!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Stolbov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Stolbov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wiwatowski defends it easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Andrzej Wiwatowski will probably get the nod.

Stolbov closes the distance and clinches up with Wiwatowski, looking for a takedown. Stolbov pushes Wiwatowski against the cage but Wiwatowski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stolbov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wiwatowski shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Stolbov eats them both and turns towards Wiwatowski to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Vlad Stolbov was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Stolbov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wiwatowski is fending him off so far but Stolbov persists. Nope, Wiwatowski circles away and we're back to standing.
