The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Donatello counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Donatello is trying to control the action in half guard but Kolchev is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Kolchev wants to control but Donatello is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Donatello has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Kolchev takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

It looks like Dmitry Kolchev has been cut.

Donatello has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Donatello is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kolchev can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That has opened up Dmitry Kolchev's cut even more.
