Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Manee Masato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Saldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rickson Saldo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masato gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Saldo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Masato's guard.
Saldo trying to control the position from guard on top but Masato is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Saldo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masato keeping full guard, as Saldo tries to pass.
Saldo trying to control but Masato is working from the bottom.
Masato working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Saldo.
Masato on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Masato tries to get out of the position.
Saldo tries to stand but Masato is controlling from the bottom.

Saldo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Saldo tries to move into full mount but can't pass Masato's legs.

Masato is trying to buck Saldo off.

Saldo wants to control but Masato is keeping him busy.
Masato managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Saldo.
Masato tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Saldo thowing shots but they're missing.
Masato wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Saldo.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Saldo working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Masato looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Saldo! Submission of the night perhaps?
