The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rucinski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Laos cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Karol Rucinski has been cut.
Laos tries to clinch but Rucinski moves out of range.

and Rucinski counters with a single leg into guard. Laos didn't expect that.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Laos is looking to stand up but Rucinski isn't so interested in that idea.

Laos wants to clinch
and Rucinski counters with a takedown into side control.
Rucinski tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Laos is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rucinski asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Rucinski is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Laos looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rucinski gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Laos is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rucinski lets go of the hold and Laos can pop his arm back in it's socket.
