The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hillis swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Tua takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Tua misses with an uppercut
and Hillis counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Hillis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tua counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tua throws a jab when Hillis was well out of range.
Hillis lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like David Tua has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tua misses with a right hand
and Hillis counters with a two punch combo.
Hillis throws a body punch but Tua moves out of range.
Some wild striking there from Tua.

Hillis on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Tua misses with a lunging right hand
and Hillis counters with a stiff right hand.
A jab lands there for Tua.
Peyton Hillis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hillis throws a series of punches but Tua moves out of range.
Hillis throws a nice looking combination but Tua bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hillis lands a two punch combo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tua throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hillis.

A shot to the liver by Hillis. Beautiful body shot.
Tua throws a nice looking combination but Hillis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tua misses with a left hand
and Hillis counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tua thinking.
Tua is breathing heavily.
Hillis misses with a double jab.
Hillis falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tua connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hillis throws a series of punches but Tua moves out of range.
Tua throws a right hand that misses

and Hillis counters with a crisp one two that drops Tua! Hillis thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Tua to his feet! Tua is in big trouble!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tua ducks under a wild hook from Hillis.
Tua avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hillis thows a body shot but no joy.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hillis misses with a combination
and Hillis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tua swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Hillis counter with a right hand.
Tua throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hillis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hillis avoids the body shot from Tua.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hillis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hillis lands a body shot.
Tua takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A punch combination from Hillis misses.
Hillis throws a right and a left that Tua avoids nicely.
Hillis lands a glancing blow to the side of Tua's head.


David Tua's cut is getting worse.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hillis ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hillis misses with a few strikes there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peyton Hillis dominated that round.
The cut man is working on David Tua's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Some wild striking there from Hillis.
Tua throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hillis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hillis throws a nice looking combination but Tua bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tua throws a right hand that misses
and Hillis counters with a left and a right... And another left! Tua is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peyton Hillis!
