Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garcia has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fernando Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Pain! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pain dodges the punch combination from Garcia.
Garcia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pain. Excellent takedown into side control there by Pain. Pain tries to advance to mount but can't. Pain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garcia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Garcia is breathing heavily. Garcia tries to escape but Pain is in control. Pain is chipping away with strikes.
Pain is staying tight to Garcia's torso, preventing him from escaping. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pain tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Pain decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Garcia looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Pain just content to control the position. Pain wants to stand but Garcia has his arm trapped. Garcia is being controlled here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pain tries to move to mount but Garcia blocks the move with his legs. Pain grinds an elbow into Garcia's temple. Garcia taking a bit of punishment here - Pain scoring with strikes. Pain looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Pain tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Garcia on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Garcia tries to get out of the position. Pain controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Let's hope that Pain has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pain wants to stand but Garcia has his arm trapped.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Mark Pain hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Pain is looking to clinch but Garcia is avoiding it.
Garcia throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pain lands with a good body shot. Pain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pain rushes Garcia and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Pain tries to circle away but Garcia has him pinned against the cage. Pain looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Pain fails to pull guard.
Pain has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Garcia is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Pain dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Pain fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Garcia throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Garcia takes a swing at Pain's ribcage but misses. Garcia gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pain to score an easy takedown into full guard. Pain is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Pain looking to pass the guard. Pain slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pain tries to free his leg and advance position but Garcia is retaining full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mark Pain was stalling too much, according to the referee. A head kick misses from Pain. Garcia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Garcia throws a low kick but Pain avoids it. Pain scores a takedown into full mount! Garcia's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pain lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Garcia is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Pain in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Garcia tries to buck Pain off but he can't manage it. Pain controlling the pace for now. Garcia is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Garcia hang on? Pain landing shots from mount. Pain pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Pain controlling from the full mount. Pain in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pain lands a heavy elbow. Pain controlling from the full mount. BOOM! Pain connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Pain content just to control the position here. You get the feeling that Garcia really doesn't like being in this position too much.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Pain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Pain closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Garcia to the mat! Garcia manages to get full guard. Pain is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Pain stops Garcia from standing up. Pain trying to control the position from guard on top but Garcia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mark Pain has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Garcia falls off balance throwing a combination
and Pain counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Garcia! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Pain tries to control but Garcia wriggling away. Pain with shots to the head and body - Garcia looks very uncomfortable down there. Pain controlling the pace for now. The referee warns Garcia that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Pain scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Pain won't let Garcia get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pain pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Mark Pain has got the better of the ground game so far. Garcia wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Garcia trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Pain controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Garcia is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Pain content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mark Pain was stalling too much, according to the referee. Garcia walks into a jab. Pain tries to clinch there but Garcia circles away.
Pain shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Garcia napping and manages to drive through into side control! Garcia wants to get back to his feet but Pain drags him back down. Pain is looking to take a break and control but Garcia is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Pain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pain has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
