Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kit Siores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward comes to the cage accompanied by Bedtime. Siores has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Ward! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kit Siores! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ward clinches with his opponent.
Siores looks gassed! The referee calls for Ward to work.
Siores is trying to drag Ward to the mat but Ward just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ward creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Ward lands an elbow that stopped Siores in his tracks for a moment. Siores takes an elbow to the forehead. Ward controlling the action here for a moment.

Ward lands an elbow inside that Siores shrugs off. Ward comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Ward lands a good knee to the midsection. Siores won't want to take too many of those. Ward with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Ward misses with a knee to the head. Siores blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Siores wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Ward taking a breather. Ward throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Siores blocks it with crossed arms. Ward unloads a knee to the mid-section. Siores breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Siores leaves Ward with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ward scores with a nice body kick.
Siores looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ward misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ward moves in looking to clinch but Siores pushes him off. Siores rushes Ward and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ward comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Ward misses with a knee strike.

Siores jumps guard but Ward stands there with Siores around his waist. Siores gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Chris Ward has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kit Siores. Siores wants a takedown but no success here.

Siores gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ward is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ward trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ward is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ward wants to control from the top but Siores keeps moving. Ward won't allow Siores to sweep him here. Ward lands a couple of decent looking shots. Siores wants to sweep but no luck. Siores preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Siores wants to stand and escape but Ward is having none of it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Siores is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ward stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ward tries to keep at a distance but Siores has taken the fight into the clinch. Siores takes a knee to the side of the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Ward dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ward tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ward closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Siores is not content to let Ward control the position. Ward stands up and beckons Siores to join him on the feet. Ward clinches up against the cage. Siores takes an elbow to the temple. Come on Ward - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Ward will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Siores up against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ward tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Ward won't allow Siores to sweep him here. Ward is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ward slips nicely into half guard. Siores is trying to maintain the position but Ward is very close to passing his half guard. Ward decides to return to a standing position. Siores clinches up against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Ward. Ward is trying to stall.

Siores changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ward fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Siores shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ward is trying to defend but Siores finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Ward is trying to maintain the position but Siores is very close to passing his half guard. Siores prevents Ward from improving his position. Siores trying to control the action but Ward is working from the bottom.

Siores throws a combination that misses and Ward counters with a head kick. That will keep Siores thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Siores gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Siores is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ward gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A close second round but Kit Siores will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Ward pushes off an throws an elbow but Siores leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Ward lands an elbow just above Siores 's eye. Ward stalls. Siores is trying to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ward trying to land knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Siores tries to break the clinch but Ward is controlling the position. Siores decides to pull guard. Ward is working Siores over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Siores looking to control.
Siores has his feet on Ward's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Siores gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ward to score an easy takedown into full guard. Ward pushes down on Siores's leg and manages to get into half guard. Siores is looking for a sweep. Ward is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ward gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ward closes the distance and clinches up with Siores, looking for a takedown. Ward pushes Siores against the cage but Siores circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Horrible takedown by Siores or perhaps it was just good defense by Ward which made him look bad. Siores drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ward is trying to control Siores's posture but Siores avoids it. Ward gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Ward manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Siores wants to pass the guard but Ward is keeping the position. Ward wriggles free and stands up. Ward shoots in looking for a takedown but Siores manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ward's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ward darts in and clinches Siores up against the cage. Siores takes a knee to the side of the body. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Ward misses with a knee to the head. Ward looking to throw knees to the head but Siores is blocking nicely.
Siores has had enough of the clinch but Ward keeps him there for the moment. Ward trying to stall but Siores improves his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Siores manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Ward is struggling to control the position. Siores breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ward darts in trying to clinch so Siores counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ward is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Siores is controlling him. Ward manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Siores manages to get himself to full guard.
Siores not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chris Ward. I think Ward has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
