Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warrior moves out of range of the body kick from Merceli.
Warrior shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Warrior showed some decent athleticism there.
Warrior is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Merceli sees it coming and defends easily.
Warrior not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Warrior has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Warrior throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Merceli wants to improve his position but Warrior is controlling well.
Warrior scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Merceli is looking for a sweep. Warrior is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Warrior not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Merceli is defending against the submission attempts here by Warrior.
Warrior wants to work for an arm triangle but Merceli is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Warrior is looking to advance position but Merceli won't allow it.
Merceli avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Warrior.

Warrior is pressing down on Merceli's thigh, looking to free his foot. Merceli is holding on for now.
Warrior works his foot free and advances to mount.
Warrior has hold of Merceli's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Merceli manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Warrior is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Merceli can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Warrior working for a submission but Merceli is keeping him at bay.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Merceli's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Merceli looks gassed!

Warrior looking for a guillotine from mount but Merceli is having none of it.
Warrior swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Merceli is now in Warrior's guard. A big mistake from Warrior there, giving up the dominant position!
Warrior is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Merceli wants to control from the top but Warrior keeps moving.
Warrior had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Merceli defends it easily.
Merceli is posturing up here but Warrior has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Merceli tries to roll out but it's too tight and Merceli has to tap! Slick submission there by Warrior!
