The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kourlios connects with a jab.
Kourlios throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gayce shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kourlios counters with a good, hard body kick but Gayce shrugs it off.
Gayce throws a series of punches but Kourlios avoids them all with ease.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gayce.
Kourlios's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gayce under the eye.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Kourlios counters with a nice body kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rice Gayce. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gayce is breathing heavily.
Kourlios cracks Gayce's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Gayce slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Kourlios can do further damage! This one is done, son!
