Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Belanger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward comes to the cage accompanied by Bedtime. Mike Belanger acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward with a poor takedown
and Belanger counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ward fails with a takedown attempt.
Ward looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Belanger is fending him off so far but Ward persists. Nope, Belanger circles away and we're back to standing.

Ward shoots for a double leg takedown but Belanger sprawls well. He's pushed Ward's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Belanger throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ward stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Belanger pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ward back to the cage. Belanger follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Belanger throws a right hand that Ward ducks under and follows up with a left that Ward also avoids with ease.

Ward misses with a takedown attempt - Belanger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Belanger Rushes Ward and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Ward is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Belanger Piles on the pressure and Ward crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
