Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Krispen Wah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Monke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wah's entrance music is Chris Benoit Theme. A fine choice. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krispen Wah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Derek Monke!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wah throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wah is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wah scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wah cracks Monke with a big right hand but Monke just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Monke is looking to reverse the position.
Monke is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Wah landing a few strikes.
Monke is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Wah misses with the ground and pound.
Monke is not content to let Wah control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Monke feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wah is trying to keep Monke in close.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wah is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Wah manages to break the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Wah as Monke shoots in.
Derek Monke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wah gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wah has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Monke looks gassed!
Wah has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Monke off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Wah has a takedown stuffed.
Wah tries to close the distance and clinch up but Monke swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wah scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Monke is trying to improve his position.
Wah is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Monke knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Monke is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Wah has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Monke!
Wah putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Wah trying to control but Monke is having none of it.
Wah is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wah shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Wah slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Wah connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Monke some visible discomfort.
Monke avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Wah.
Monke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wah tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Monke tries to buck Wah off but Wah is having none of it.
Wah wants to lay and pray for a moment but Monke keeps working.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Monke darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Monke tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wah knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Monke is thwarting Wah's attempts to control the position.
Monke tries to pass to full mount but Wah defends it.
Monke is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Monke blocks the strikes from Wah.
Wah slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Monke connects with a couple of short punches.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Monke's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wah is trying to control the position but Monke postures up.
Monke wants to pass the guard but Wah is keeping the position.
Monke with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Krispen Wah will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Wah looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wah trying to control the action but Monke is working from the bottom.
Monke punching from the bottom.
Wah is looking for a kimura but Monke is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wah to get the leverage.
Monke trying to hold on to Wah's head to control him but Wah postures up.
Monke lands a couple of sideways elbows.
Monke is trying to get back to full guard.
Wah perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wah rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Monke moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Monke is breathing heavily.
Wah doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Monke counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wah throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Monke working the head and body with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Monke scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Wah is rocked!
Monke lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Wah! More strikes land and this one is all over! Monke jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derek Monke!
