Esposito kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sukh Knight. McSlugg moves forwards but Esposito connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Aaron McSlugg has been cut.
Esposito misses the jab.
McSlugg tries to clinch but Esposito moves away
and Esposito counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
McSlugg looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Esposito fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Esposito scores with a decent looking hook.
Esposito feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McSlugg sprawling to the canvas! McSlugg rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Esposito finish him?!
McSlugg is rocked!
McSlugg drops his hands momentarily. Esposito doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. McSlugg staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. McSlugg doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Esposito!
