13 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alpo Wednesday! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wednesday swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Halo counters with an outside leg kick.
Halo misses with a low kick. Wednesday missing with a left hand there. Halo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A jab from Halo misses. Wednesday throws an off balance right hand
and Halo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Wednesday throws a big shot that misses. Halo lands a leg kick that knocks Wednesday off balance momentarily. Halo throws a lazy uppercut
and Wednesday connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wednesday misses with a left hand and Halo counters with a stiff right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wednesday displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Halo throws out the jab. Halo pushes Wednesday up against the cage in a clinch. Wednesday working aggressively here.

Wednesday tries to clinch and Halo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Halo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Halo throwing strikes from guard but Wednesday blocks nicely. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Halo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Wednesday looking for a sweep. Not yet Wednesday, not yet. Halo wants to control from the top but Wednesday keeps moving. Halo throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wednesday has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Halo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Halo throws and elbow that misses. Wednesday uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Halo's guard. Nice move by Wednesday! Halo wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wednesday throws a strike but Halo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Halo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Halo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wednesday working a defensive guard here.

Halo looking to sit in guard and control but Wednesday gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Wednesday wants to control from the top but Halo keeps moving. Wednesday is looking to stand up but Halo won't let him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wednesday passes easily into side control. Nice work. Halo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wednesday wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Halo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Halo thows a big elbow that misses. Halo is looking to work some ground and pound but Wednesday has wrist control. Halo lands a couple of digs. Wednesday is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Halo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Halo trying to control but Wednesday is working from the bottom. Halo throws a strike but Wednesday rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wednesday wants to stand but Halo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that's the end of the fight! Luciano Halo showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Halo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
