The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samsa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and DeMarino counters with a stiff right hand.
DeMarino throws a lazy right hand but Samsa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Samsa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Samsa throws a right and a left that DeMarino avoids nicely.
Samsa throws a right hand that DeMarino ducks under and follows up with a left that DeMarino also avoids with ease.
Samsa swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and DeMarino counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
DeMarino throws an overhand right that lands on Samsa's shoulder, as Samsa tries to avoid the shot.

DeMarino shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Samsa manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
DeMarino tries to free his leg and advance position but Samsa is retaining full guard.
DeMarino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Samsa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
DeMarino postures up and lands a big shot to Samsa's brow.

Samsa is looking for a triangle but DeMarino pushes his legs off easily.

This one could be over very soon! DeMarino goes limp - he's gone! Samsa jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
